Each video shows a different state of mind and body.
1st - mind is with thoughts and activity with the posture = shifting and trying out variations to get comfortable.
2nd- mind is with the experience or reflection on the subtle energies flowing within the body =more outer stillness and calm in body and mind.
3rd- mind is in the seat of consciousness freed up from my labels I carry of myself unconsciously = body and mind went into the posture and with less effort and felt more freedom whilst in the pose.
This week we will be working with the first 3 different mental states within the practice of samaprajnata samadhi - this is a practice of liberation (8th liimb of Patanjali).
During build up moves and postures leading to downward facing dog: Adho Mukha Svanasana, we will be able to know the different states of mind and relate them to the change of experience in the body and how different the body moves within these changes.
The added benefits of the practice will be reducing the obstacles that keep us trapped within a stagnated confined pattern of mind- state and body/movement.
At the end of class we will experience a mind free of worries, stress, fears and burdens; known as bliss, ananda in Sanskrit.
