Seeing the obstacles in Ardha Chandrasana!!

Movements of breath reflect the state of prana (life force) in body and mind.

It is the unhappiness within that controls the desires, tendencies or urges to need something to self satisfy, be it only temporarily and this disturbs the flow of prana.

The limbs of yoga help to understand, transform the unstable beliefs that govern our actions and body/ mind reflects this with blockages and disturbances.

Working this week with asanas, pranayama, gunas; (forces of nature), dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation) and the yama; Aparigraha - non acceptance of gifts, without possessions, belongings.

Once asana is accomplished, working with pranayama; in line with regulation of breath. When there is a succession of 4 movements; incoming, outgoing, suspension  of breath (Kumbhaka).

When there is a suspension of breath; Kumbhaka there is a cessation of one thought going into the next (which is how we usually think and want/need). The nature of cause and effect (karma) is ceased.

We hold patterns of thinking wanting within and pranayama will control them and Kumbhaka is freeing the greed from wanting.

The forces of nature are at play within and being mindful of them showing up within the posture , as seen in the video!

See how we try to perform, and need to get it right or are we shying away from working into a content, happy (sattvic) posture.

We are also able to look in deeper in body/ mind and experience that even being content and happy is temporary to what is already there, Nothing can disturb this inner peace and nothing is needed to make it happen.

Om Shanti
