Meditation controls the mind which controls prana; life force.
The mind is usually consumed by worldly thoughts and we do not progress in meditation and then becoming more attached in body and mind. Consequently blocking life force and not allowing mind and body to evolve. A feeling of being stuck.
Using a form of meditation useful to overcome the over busy mind, known as JAPA meditation.
This means a repetition of a mantra - a word, sound or symbol to free the attachments and keep the focus needed during meditation.
Using the OM sound vibration the most powerful mantra as it is the sound vibration that has created the universe.
It can be chanted aloud, whispered or mentally repeated or visualised. It is the stillness and spaciousness after the chant when the mind becomes still.
This week we will use postures to resonate with the sounds of the individual written parts of Om, known as AUM.
We will experience the change and openness within the physical, pranic (energy) and in mental aspect of our being.
Ending the class with the japa of OM. Meditation on silence afterwards experiencing that which resonates with pure consciousness of Reality.
That which manifests as nature and yet is untouched.
Om Shanti
