Understanding prana

So much tension in feet and that means the life force is stagnant here, reducing mobility & circulation.

In class we will be working towards experiencing the body in a moving posture when the prana; life force also moving freely.

Using one of the niyamas; contentment during asanas and pranayama, allows the student to work without mental attachment to the practice.

Then ego; ahamkar, part of mind which has desires, attachments and aversions, will reduce and a steadiness in body and mind is experienced.

If we were to try and achieve, which we are conditioned to do, the body and mind condense further, stopping prana move freely.

We will gain a deeper inner understanding of this life force; prana and its movements and how intricately linked it is to the mind.

Also with practice of contentment, contentment arises and ego reduces.

All is well

Om Shanti
