How can be aware of being alive?
How we usually determine that we are alive is by using the sense of ourselves in relation to the outside world; through the senses, basically through the mind.
If we weren’t breathing we wouldn’t be alive, and yet we are not breath as we are the awareness of breath that gives us life.
It is the breath that keeps life going and when breath leaves life leaves.
The yogis found out that life is the subtle pranic body supporting the physical body. (Prana is energy in motion.)
We can’t see it or sense it through the senses and it is only perceived when the mind stops and thoughts clear. And when the thoughts clear, not only can it be perceived but it can expand, move and a higher frequency is reached.
When the mind stops consciousness stays and becomes clearer, so we are not the mind. This consciousness rides on the pranic subtle body and is aware of life and its changes.
Prana is within all life’s creation.
This week we will stop the mind’s thoughts to enable the patterns of mental behaviour to release and this is done without the mind’s attachment to what has to release but being in a strong will power of keeping stillness in mind to allow a release to happen.
We must not try to do this by looking for the fruits of action as that would only bring the patterns into play again, blocking life and consciousness.
Om Shanti
