The entity behind the functions of the mind is always there and can be experienced so, even when the mind is not active.
The mind is like a computer, always picking up information, recording and putting it into memory.
We hold this in our body and mind. We feel it in our tensions, patterns of movement and it restricts us not only in body and mind but also not being able to be present and conscious of the moment,
In yoga we use the body in asanas to give us time out, for the mind to stop doing.
To move towards the deeper “I am”consciousness.
This “I consciousness” is not amenable to thinking. Thinking is secondary and is in the world of relativity. The I consciousness is timeless.
The body is the vehicle of experience to move into the deeper aspect.
The mind is not self illuminating but consciousness wants to know itself and is self illuminating. It doesn’t need senses or thoughts, judgement or memory.
Even if we do act, see, talk, judge this entity is always there.
There becomes an opening in the heart space and it doesn’t need the intellect.
We see the truth of who we are and this life and it helps not only ourselves but others and the whole universe; it is a service to all.
Om Shanti
